With the mobile phone manufacturers launching several new types of phones since the past few years, there are phones that cater to every requirement and need. In the late nineties, the PDAs were first launched. The PDA, short for Personal Digital Assistant was one of those revolutionary gadgets through which one could be used as a personal assistant and even carries out communication over the Internet. A PDA would have several applications which were helpful to the business world. One of the best known PDAs and the most used is the Blackberry, by Research in Motion, better known as RIM.
The first Blackberry phone that was launched was lauded for a design and look that was different than any of the PDAs that were available. Available with a full QWERTY keyboard, it made it easier to access the email, internet connection, websites, etc. Though Blackberry mobile phones were bulkier than the ones that were available a few decades ago, there were several slim PDAs and cell phones launched which made the blackberry itself bulky. However, today the Blackberry has several sleek models that would put any PDA or cell phone to shame.
What made the Blackberry famous was that subtle involvements of media aspects, like a online video viewer, better music playing than other PDAs and some interesting and addictive games. Of course, today the Blackberry offers several features that are over and above the average PDA or the cell phone.
There are several models of the Blackberry that are available today, that cater to various needs and requirements. Whether you want a strong document viewer or a phone with an excellent mobile internet connection, the Blackberry brand has it all. Make sure that you read the cell phone reviews before you decide on the phone.
